Server Side Info
Frequent questions regarding server-side processes.
Server Times
All of our times are based on Eastern Standard Time, EST (UTC-4).
Server Location
Our servers are located in Chicago, Illinois, United States. They are in the Central US to allow for similar distances for Europe and Asia.
Restart Times
The server will begin the restart countdown at 5:30am EST and 1:30pm EST daily. If the server has a mod or game update, it will automatically take the server down to update. The server will not ping for automatic restart if a mod/game update has been performed within the last 2 and a half hours.
Game Issues & Solutions
Here’s some setting guides to help you when you come across issues with ARK or Steam.
Mod Mismatch
If you are getting a mod mismatch notification, Steam didn’t push the update to your machine for workshop content or ARK Server Files, here’s the things you can do to fix it.
Option 1: Close Steam completely (Exit Steam not just the X button). Open it back up, if you go to Downloads, you should see ARK: Workshop Content or whichever. If it is showing the content as downloaded (with say 5.3 MB out of 5.3 MB) you should be good! If it doesn’t though and says 0.0 MB out of 0.0 MB you will need to Close Steam again and then open it back up. If you still have the issue you will need to open the game and try to join our server. Once it gives you the mod-mismatch you can close the game and then it starts the download.
Option 2: You can visit the Glyph RP Seasonal Mod Collection Page and press ‘Subscribe to All‘. It will force the download to start.
Option 3: You delete and re-install the mod from your mods folder.
ARK PC Priority
If you’re experiencing long load in times, you can make ARK: Survival Evolved a priority on your PC which will redirect the majority of your resources to loading ARK.
1. Open your Task Manager. Select either Ctrl+Alt+Delete or directly search for it in your Windows Search Bar. Go to the More Details tab.
2. Find the shootergame.exe (ARK Icon) and right click on it. Mouse over ‘Set Priority‘ and click on ‘Realtime‘.
Warning: Due to the amount of resources ARK takes when it is loading, this may remove your ability to do other tasks while loading in. However functionability will return after loading in. If this is an issue for you, try setting it to ‘Above Normal’ or ‘High’ instead.
‘Potato’ Graphics
When you load in are all of your textures worse than low? This appears to be an occuring thing on newer ARK Maps that require more graphical performance. Luckily our community has found some fixes!
Method One:
1. Open the Graphical Settings Menu in-game.
2. Crank all texture based settings to max.
3. Click ‘Apply‘ and ‘Save‘.
4. Close out of ARK completely and re-launch.
Method Two:
1. Go to Steam Games > steamapps > common > ARK > ShooterGame > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor
2. Delete the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ file.
3. Re-launch game and have Nivida Re-Optimize your graphics (Not tested with AMD).
Warning: This will reset all of your settings, including your Audio. Careful to not hurt your ears!
Fast Load After Restart
Wanting to log-in fast after a restart? There’s an app for that.
Method:
1. Log out of the server three minutes before it goes down for restart.
2. Join again, it will start loading mods.
3.You will receive a message that the host closed the connection but do not touch anything. Let it sit. It will still load mods!
4. Once it has stopped loading all of the mods (you can see it from looking behind the translucent pop-up), you can close the message.
5. Refresh the list and once the server is back up, join it!
Te-dah, you’ve loaded back into the server in less than a minute! You loaded all of the mod information while the server was offline, so you will not need to load it again.

Private Message System
We utilize a PM system in-game to keep OOC out of the role-play channels and of course have private conversations if they are needed. Privately message an online user by the start of their character name, non case sensitive. You can even use reply functionality if you’re having quite the conversation. Since everyone is muted from global chat, you will need to handle everything via local.
/pm <CharacterName> <Message>

General Chat Commands
Fail-safe:
Stuck or a part of those pesky ARK glitches? You can immediately kill your character by using this command in the in-game chat.
Using local, type /suicide
Kits:
Our server uses a kit functionality for a variety of things; like starter kits, professions and loot rolls.
To check your kits type /kit
To redeem a kit type /kit KitName
Attention: Kit names are case-sensitive, make sure to use local chat.
Wild Magick Controls
Our Wild Magicks require the use of our internal Glyph RP mod’s transformation system. Here’s the controls!
• Hold R (default) to access the Radial Menu.
• While in a normal mount form press R (default) to change back.
• To get out of your form press E (default).
All transformation forms are added/removed by members of Staff. A player must have T1 or higher to enable the Transformations.

Here are frequent questions/issues and their solutions!
Custom Recipe Crashing
If you are making a custom recipe do not go to the max characters on the description or it will crash your game.
RP Enhancement Notebook Buff Stack
Sometimes after using the RP Ehancement Notebook, you will receive a buff icon at the bottom right hand side of your screen. If it gets stuck you cannot read notebooks. Fast travel via bed and it will remove the buff.
Creature Not Taming Properly
Sometimes creatures tamed with the Immersive Taming Mod will bug out and run away when initiated in combat. Run out of render distance or kill all the creatures around you to get it to resume tame. Please review the Taming Tier List for broken/vanilla tamed creatures.
RPE Evidence Not Scrolling
Currently the RPE Evidence not scrolling is a mod-side bug. Instead you will need to copy and paste the Evidence to a notebook to read it all.
CE Races Part X Not Working/Disappearing
CE Races will bug out at times. If your functional part/customized part is not working or showing up, re-apply your template. If more than one person is having an issue with the part, submit a ticket.
